I'm currently a student from the lovely town of Perth in Western Australia studying a Bachelor of Science majoring in Computer Science and Internetworking and Security and thus far... loving it! I have been playing a part behind the scenes of AusCam magazine and it's previous reincarnations for almost 3 years now managing the forums and helping David convert to a Online Digital Magazine.
I love to drive (my Subaru Liberty), swim (especially at the beach), go out with friends, watch movies of almost any variety however, action and thrillers tend to most take my fancy. I participate in many online forums including Whirlpool, Australian Media Centre and MacTalk where you can find me under the Alias PCgeek215 - a tiny bit obvious i know...
I have recently moved my main computing from the land of Windows to that of Mac... It has been and interesting and enjoyable experience, mainly because I got sick of the usual doings of windows. Mac has made many things a lot easier but I stil rely on my Windows 7 Quad Core, 8GB RAM powerhouse to do my video editing and encoding. I will also in coming months be setting up a couple of linux and BSD based servers to use at home. This should also provide a good learning experience - more on that later.
I'm sure, as you can tell by now, I'm you typical computer nerd! I can't ge enough of it! So please stick with me, see what I have to say about some of the newest technology. I will also be bringing you updates about my own adventures into new technology and software that I am yet to experience.
